Romans 5:6 (NLT)
6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.

To start off, I’m sorry that it’s been awhile since I last wrote my Verse of Day.  I will seek to be more diligent.

What is it like to be “helpless”?  Imagine being so helpless that others have to do all things for you because you are unable to move your arms and legs, and what about if you also could see, hear, or speak.  That is true helplessness.  If the youngest baby have their lungs and the ability to cry out if they are upset, hungry, or just need to be cuddled.  But, imagine if we had no ability to express ourselves at all.  In the same way, we are helpless before our sin on our own.  we will always follow the path of least resistance, the way that satisfies our desires, lust, wants, and pleasures.  We can imagine that we don’t. but without Christ and the fact that he died for our sins, we would be trapped in our eternal helplessness/sinfulness.  That is a horrible thought!  However, we are blessed in our redemption and salvation that will forever place us in a relationship with God in Christ.  Praise the Lord!
