Proverbs 23:23 (NLT)
23 Get the truth and never sell it; also get wisdom, discipline, and good judgment.
How easy is it to get truth? In today’s world, we are all encouraged to speak “our truth.” The problem with this is, is that my “truth” and your “truth” might be starkly different. For the Hamas, their truth is that killing unarmed Jews on October 7 was a good thing. For the Israelis, their truth was that it was a bad thing. Are we are a stalemate? Obviously yes! Despite what woke culture tells us, truth is objective and real. it is elusive for all of us, because our minds are full of misinformation, wrong “facts” and distortion and baggage from all parts of our lives that will prevent us from seeing truth in the fullness of what it is. Jesus Christ is the Way, the TRUTH, and the LIFE, we if we adhere to Christ, we can at least come closer to what TRUTH is. However, the TRUTH is that we will not know the full TRUTH until we stand before the throne and are perfected by God in Christ. Until then, we seek the truth, get it when we see it, and never sell it. Also, like making a good stew, we grab a bunch of wisdom, discipline, and good judgment to add spice and zing to an already pretty tasty stew. On the other hand, if we have grown a taste for lies, the Truth Stew is going to not go down easily. Let each of us, relish the Truth of Jesus Christ, and share it with the world. Those with ears to hear, eyes to see, and a heart ready to receive, will love it! Peace and Blessings!
